A large quantities of illicit drugs have been destroyedby the operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) when it multiple raids across forested areas in Ekiti and Ondo states,. In Omuo-Ekiti, officers destroyed 14,654kg of skunk and arrested two suspects. Another operation in Asin-Ekiti, Ikole LGA, led to the destruction of 54,300kg of skunk stored in two major warehouses, with 28.3kg recovered as evidence.

A separate raid in Igoba forest, Akure North LGA of Ondo State, uncovered 5,442kg of compressed and bagged skunk, resulting in five arrests. Further seizures included 500kg from a vehicle along the Mokwa-Jebba road in Niger State, 22kg of synthetic cannabis (Colorado) in Abuja, and additional arrests with significant quantities of skunk and pills along the Kwali-Gwagwalada expressway.
In Lagos and Edo states, NDLEA operatives recovered various quantities of Canadian Loud and skunk from markets, vehicles, and warehouses. Alongside enforcement actions, the agency intensified its War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) sensitization outreach, engaging schools and communities across Kano, Benue, Rivers, and other states to promote drug awareness and prevention.
