The Lagos State Police Command has dismantled a baby factory in the Ijegun area, rescuing 10 victims—seven women and three children—and arresting three suspects behind the illegal operation.

Spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin disclosed that the raid occurred on April 5, 2025, following a tip-off.
The suspects 35-year-old Mariam Vincent, alongside Orie Ruth (23) and Ujunwa Ifeanyi (18)—were arrested at the scene. Among the rescued were three children: Destiny (7), Miracle (5), and Success (2).
The adult victims, including Precious, Magdalene, Adaobi, Princess, Ifeanyi, and Amaka, are receiving medical and psychological care.
The suspects reportedly confessed to abducting the victims from different parts of Lagos to run the illegal operation. Investigations are ongoing, and the suspects will be charged.
In a related development, police operatives rescued two kidnap victims—40-year-old Dare and 25-year-old Rodiat—who were abducted in the Igbe Alagemo community, Ikorodu, on March 26. After a three-day manhunt involving a joint task force and local stakeholders, the victims were rescued unharmed on March 29 and reunited with their families.
The Lagos State Police Command confirmed the arrest of 39 suspects over the last two weeks for crimes including murder, kidnapping, robbery, rape, and illegal firearm possession.
