Lagos Government Clears Illegal Occupants Under Adeniji Adele Bridge

The Lagos State Ministry of Environment has dislodged illegal occupants who had converted the Oja Oba Bridge in the Adeniji Adele area into makeshift apartments.

Commissioner for Environment, Wahab Tokunbo, shared videos of the operation, emphasizing the government’s commitment to restoring order and ensuring public spaces are not misused. He reiterated that bridges are meant for smooth movement and urban order, not residential settlements.

The exercise is part of Lagos State’s ongoing crackdown on illegal structures under bridges across the city. Tokunbo urged residents to support efforts to keep Lagos clean and organized.
