Kogi Imposes 4pm Curfew on Social and Religious Activities Amid Rising Insecurity

Governor Ahmed Ododo of Kogi State has issued a directive that all social, religious, and community gatherings must end by 4 pm daily until further notice.

The order was issued during an emergency meeting with security agencies and traditional rulers following heightened public concern over alleged bandit activities within the state. Ododo explained that the regulated hours are a proactive measure designed to allow the state to confront criminal groups before they strike. He called on residents to remain vigilant and warned that any centre violating the order would be demolished, stressing that the move is aimed at preventing attacks and strengthening security operations.

According to governor Ododo, security operatives have tracked major bandit leaders to certain locations in the state over the past three days.
