Peter Obi has caledl on the government at all levels to urgently intensify security efforts, overhaul N8geria security architecture, ensure the safe rescue of the abducted girls, and prevent further attacks on our schools and communities.
Obi made the called following bandits attack on Government Comprehensive Girls’ Secondary School, Maga in Kebbi State which led to the abduction of several young female students and the killing of a staff member.
According to him, similar acts of violence continue elsewhere. In Zamfara State, bandits reportedly killed three persons and abducted about 64 others in Fegin Baza village, Tsafe Local Government Area.
“Nigeria must do better. Our children deserve safety, and our people deserve peace”, he said.
