Kano State Fire Service Confirms Two Killed in Separate Well Accidents

Two peeson have jeen confirmed dead by Kano State Fire Service who fell into wells in separate incidents in Madobi and Ghari Local Government Areas of the state. The tragic events occurred on the same day and were handled by different rescue teams.

According to the Fire Service, the  first incident happened around 12:15 p.m. in Kwankwaso town, Madobi LGA. A two-year-old boy, Sa’idu Ahmad, fell into a well, prompting an emergency response from the fire service headquarters after a distress call was received.

Although the rescue team successfully brought the child out of the well, he was unconscious and later confirmed dead. His body was handed over to the Madobi Police Division for further procedures.

The second incident took place in Karofawa Yan Kifi village in Ghari LGA, where a 28-year-old man, Suleiman Sani, also fell into a well. He was rescued unconscious but later confirmed dead and handed over to the village head. The Fire Service expressed sympathy to the families and urged residents to properly cover wells to prevent similar incidents, adding that investigations are ongoing.
