I Have No Links to Militants – Fubara Denies Allegations

Suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has dismissed claims linking him to militant groups, warning against attempts to incite violence or economic sabotage in his name.

In a statement issued on Monday by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Fubara refuted viral videos alleging explosions at oil and gas facilities in the state, calling them “fake” and “malicious.” He urged security agencies to investigate and take action against those responsible for spreading the falsehoods.

Fubara emphasized that he has no affiliations with any militant group and remains committed to maintaining peace and security in Rivers State. He also cautioned against using his name to justify violence, stating that he would do everything necessary to protect the state’s stability.

He called on security agencies to track down those behind the misleading videos, stressing that governance and development can only thrive in a peaceful environment.
