Media personality Daddy Freeze has defended his continued friendship with convicted internet fraudster Hushpuppi, insisting that loyalty matters in relationships.
In a recent video shared by Tunde Ednut, Daddy Freeze stated that Hushpuppi never gave him money but offered him friendship during a difficult period when he faced public backlash over his #FreeTheSheeple movement. He recounted how their friendship began after Hushpuppi invited him to Dubai alongside other influencers, providing support when many distanced themselves from him.
While acknowledging that he may have suspected Hushpuppi’s wealth was questionable, Daddy Freeze quoted Davido’s lyrics, “Dey for who dey for you,” emphasizing the importance of standing by those who stood by him.
Hushpuppi, whose real name is Ramon Olorunwa Abbas, was arrested in 2020 in Dubai and later extradited to the U.S., where he pleaded guilty to conspiracy to engage in money laundering and was sentenced to 11 years in federal prison.
