Governor, Caleb Mutfwang ofPlateau State has directed the dismissal ohis special adviser on strategic communication and five others of his appointees from office and placed one official on suspension.

According to a statement released by the Secretary to the State Government, Samuel Jatau, the decision is part of steps taken by the state government to improve how it operates and deliver better service to the people.
Those affected by the dismissal include Timothy Golu, who served as special adviser on strategic communication, and Fom Gwottson, liaison officer for Jos South. Others are Nanbol Rimvyat and Nannim Langyi, who worked as liaison officers for Langtang North. Also affected are Paul Datugum and Nimchat Rims, who served as liaison officers for Qua’an Pan and Langtang South.
In the same development, Johnbull Shekarau, chairman of the Plateau State House of Assembly Service Commission, has been suspended over actions said to fall below the expected standard of his office.
No reason was given for the removal of the six appointees, but they have been instructed to return all government property in their possession to the appropriate authorities. The government appreciated their service and wished them well in their future plans.
