Footballer Thomas Partey Granted Bail On Rape Charges

The 32-year-old Ghanaian and former Arsenal midfielder, Thomas Partey has been granted conditional bail after being charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.

His bail conditions state he cannot contact any of the three women and must notify police of any permanent changes of address or international travel.

Arrived Westminster Magistrate court on Tuesday accused of raping two women and sexually assaulting a third.

Partey arrived to answer all the allegations relating to three women between 2021 and 2022. The allegations date from April 2021 to June 2022 including four counts of rape and an allegation of sexual assault at the mansion in north London where he used to live. 

A fifth alleged rape happened at a Spanish hotel resort in Spain in summer 2022. The footballer, who now lives in Potters Bar,

Partey, who faces five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault, “denies all the charges against him”, his lawyer Jenny Wiltshire has previously said, adding he welcomed “the opportunity to finally clear his name”.

The charges follow an investigation by detectives, which started in February 2022 after police first received a report of rape.
