wachukwu, popularly known as Esther Sky, has weighed in on the ongoing drama within the Edochie family, advising May Edochie to drop her estranged husband Yul Edochie’s surname. Her statement came after a public spat between May and Yinka, the new wife of Yul’s brother, Linc Edochie, who reportedly leaked personal phone numbers online, worsening tensions.
In a viral Instagram video, Esther Sky alleged that the entire Edochie family, including actress Rita Edochie, is united against May. She argued that May has built her own brand and does not need to hold onto the Edochie name any longer. Esther encouraged May to legally change her name and announce it publicly, stating that peace would follow once the name was dropped.
Esther also accused the Edochie family of conspiring against May, suggesting that their silence or behind-the-scenes discussions have empowered outsiders, such as Yinka, to attack May online. She expressed disappointment in the family’s apparent lack of support for May, despite her ongoing struggles.
The actress did not spare veteran actor Pete Edochie, Yul’s father, from criticism. She publicly called on him to intervene and bring an end to the growing family feud. According to her, as the family’s patriarch and a respected figure, Pete has the responsibility to stop what she described as “madness” within the Edochie household.
