Former Labour Party governorship candidate in Enugu State, Chief Chijioke Edeoga, has rejoined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), citing Governor Peter Mbah’s transformative leadership as his motivation. Edeoga, who previously served the PDP in various capacities, acknowledged that his decision might not be welcomed by all but emphasized the importance of unity ahead of the 2027 elections.

Welcoming him back, state PDP Chairman Dr. Martin Chukwunwike praised Mbah’s leadership, expressing confidence that more former members would return. Isi-uzo Local Government Chairman, Obiora Obegu, also commended Edeoga’s move, calling it a step towards strengthening the party.
