Grammy-nominated singer Davido has opened up about his journey with his wife, Chioma, revealing that they lived together for eight years before officially getting married.
Speaking on The Bootleg Kev Podcast, Davido recalled meeting Chioma during his university days and credited their long-term bond for easing their transition into marriage.
“My partner and I lived together for a long time before getting married. I met her in my third year in college, and we moved in together early—about eight years before we tied the knot,” he said.
Despite the smooth transition, Davido admitted that marriage comes with its own challenges. “Getting married is no joke,” he added.
He also praised Chioma for her unwavering support, noting that she has always understood his demanding music career. “She knows I’m happiest when I work, just like she loves being in the kitchen,” he said.
