Dalung Predicts Tinubu’s Defeat in 2027, Even with Family in Power

Former Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Solomon Dalung, has boldly declared that President Bola Tinubu will be defeated in the 2027 general elections, even if close family members are placed in key positions like the chairmanship of INEC. Speaking during an interview with New Central, Dalung accused the Tinubu-led government of weaponizing poverty and inflicting suffering on Nigerians through widespread corruption and injustice.

He emphasized that the current administration has waged a form of war against its citizens, promoting hardship, hunger, and impunity. According to Dalung, the only viable solution is for opposition leaders to unite under the recently adopted African Democratic Congress (ADC) to confront and challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the next election cycle.

Dalung was confident that Tinubu’s government would be voted out in 2027 regardless of any alleged manipulation or favoritism. He sarcastically suggested that even if the president appointed his son, Seyi Tinubu, as INEC chairman and his wife as Chief Justice, the people would still resist and reject the administration at the polls.

The ADC, which has been adopted as a new political front for opposition forces, comprises prominent political figures including former governors, lawmakers, and ministers. It is being positioned as a strong alternative platform to rally support and challenge the APC’s dominance in the 2027 elections.
