A large provisional squad of the Super Eagles for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations has been unveiled by the Head coach Eric Chelle showcasing depth and competition for places.

Releasing the list through the team’s official X account. The squad features a blend of experienced stars and rising talents, signalling the team’s determination to compete strongly in the tournament scheduled to kick off later this month and end in January 2026.
In the goalkeeping and defensive departments, Maduka Okoye, Stanley Nwabali, and Francis Uzoho headline the six-man goalkeeping lineup, while William Ekong, Calvin Bassey, Zaidu Sanusi, Ola Aina, and Bright Osayi-Samuel lead a strong defensive cast supported by emerging players like Ryan Alebiosu and Emmanuel Michael. Midfield selections include dependable figures such as Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, and Frank Onyeka, alongside younger midfielders like Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Raphael Onyedika.
The attacking lineup is particularly stacked, featuring top strikers Victor Osimhen, Victor Boniface, and Ademola Lookman, supported by the likes of Samuel Chukwueze, Moses Simon, Kelechi Iheanacho, Taiwo Awoniyi, and Paul Onuachu. Chelle also included several promising forwards such as Rafiu Durosinmi, Philip Otele, and Adams Akor.
