Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Gida Mustapha, has dismissed claims linking him to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) or any opposition coalition ahead of the 2027 general elections, describing the reports as “fake news.” He stressed that he has neither engaged in discussions nor established any affiliation with opposition figures or political realignment efforts.

Mustapha, who served as SGF from 2017 to 2023, reaffirmed his strong ties to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), recalling his pivotal role in the party’s creation. As a former Deputy National Chairman of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), which merged with others to form the APC, he stated it was “unthinkable” for him to abandon a party he helped establish.
Reiterating his loyalty to the APC, Mustapha urged members to address internal challenges from within rather than defecting to other political platforms. He emphasized that every party has its own problems and that solutions should come through unity and internal reforms, not decamping.
