Liverpool forward, Mohamed Salah, has confirmed that he voted for Vinicius Jr during the 2024 Ballon d’Or.
Salah himself did not make the 30-man nominee shortlist.
But the Egyptian decided to select Vinicius, because according to him, “he is the best player in the world”.
Salah told TNT Sports: ““Vinicius Jr is very good player, that’s why.
“He’s improving every year and hopefully he can continue… I voted for him because he deserves it.”
Salah’s vote was not enough, as Manchester City’s Rodri was announced as the winner of the award in October.
