Palpable tension has engulfed Oba community in Idemili South LGA of Anambra State after the recent discovery of over 30 graves and a shrine within Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites, popularly known as La Cruise Hotel.

Acting on a whistleblower tip and intelligence gathering, security operatives raided the hotel, uncovering graves partitioned in the building’s ground floor, military camouflage, arms, and cartridges.
The state government, enforcing the Anambra State Homeland Security Law, promptly demolished the property, which was allegedly a hub for kidnappers and other criminals.
While authorities have not confirmed the presence of human remains or any arrests, investigations are ongoing. State officials, including the governor’s Press Secretary, have assured the public that further findings will be communicated in due course.
