Dangote Cement has announced that its majority shareholder and founder, Aliko Dangote, has retired as chairman of the cement manufacturing company.
The company’s Group Chief, Branding and spokesperson, Anthony Chiejina, made this known in a statement on Friday, July 25, 2025.
Chiejina said Dangote retired from his position to focus on Dangote Petroleum Refinery.
Subsequently, the Board of the company announced the appointment of Emmanuel Ikazoboh, an independent non-executive director, as the new Chairman, Board of Directors.
