The Ooni of Ife, ooni Enitan Ogunwusi, said
drawing inspiration from Oduduwa’s ancient knowledge of cloth weaving and fashion machine fabrications, the iconic skills and ingenuities dispensed by Oduduwa have become an ocean of human interaction and technological development for the global fashion industry.
The Ooni who shared his excitement with Nigerians on twitter stated that the eighth Olojo on the throne of his fathers was a unique and humbling experience. Olodumare in his infinite mercies granted grace and favour to me to adorn the oldest crown in the world.
The Ooni said his mission of blending tradition and modernity took yet another unique step in actualisation of the sacred assignment bestowed on me by my ancestors.
