Mason Greenwood, a Manchester United loanee, was given a straight red card during Getafe’s La Liga match against their neighbors Rayo Vallecano, where they lost 2-0.

Following a confrontation with Jorge Figueroa Vazquez, the former England international got red and was dismissed for obstructing the referee.
Three Getafe players were sent off throughout the encounter. Juanmi Latasa received a red card before Greenwood’s departure, and Damian Suarez was also sent off even though he was still on the bench.
After a magnificent brace from Sergio Camello helped the visitors take all three points at the Cívitas Metropolitano, Rayo Vallecano ultimately emerged victorious with ease.
Greenwood had made 14 appearances for Getafe and had three goals and four assists before the incident. Because of his play, there has been talk of a possible transfer to Barcelona and Getafe’s desire to keep him on long-term loan.
This incident, which resulted in Greenwood’s first red card of his professional career, attracted a lot of attention and sparked debate regarding the player’s composure under duress in crucial games.
