The Chief Judge (CJ) of Delta State, Justice Theresa Diai, has condoned 13 inmates across the five correctional centres in the state.

Reports gathered that the CJ disclosed this at the Ogwashi-Uku Correctional Centre during the last quarter of correctional visit for the year which lasted for three weeks.
Justice Diai said those freed were charged with offences like being members of unlawful societies, robbery, attempted murder and conspiracy to commit felony.
She said the decision to free them was based on the advice of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) who stated that they had no cases to answer.
