Following heightened international concern over Nigeria’s internal security and governance issues,, former head of Financial Compliance at Binance Holdings Limited, Tigran Gambaryanbhas criticized the Nigerian government, describing it as a “lawless regime” that depends on “criminals and thugs” who prioritize personal enrichment over citizens’ welfare.

Gambaryan’s remarks came shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to withdraw aid to Nigeria if the government fails to stop the ongoing killing of Christians in the country. Trump also reportedly directed the U.S. Department of War to prepare for possible military intervention against Islamic terrorists if the Nigerian authorities do not act decisively to protect Christians.
The U.S. president has now designated Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern” due to the alleged religiously motivated attacks. Gambaryan’s reaction on social media underscores growing international frustration with the Nigerian government’s handling of terrorism and human rights issues, further intensifying scrutiny of the Tinubu administration’s leadership and internal security policies.
