The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has commissioned a modern naval facility in Ayakoro, Bayelsa State, to enhance maritime security and promote peace in the Niger Delta.

NDDC Managing Director, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, said the project demonstrates the Commission’s commitment to partnering with security agencies to protect waterways, boost oil production, and drive regional development.
Representing the Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Noel Madugu commended the NDDC, noting that the facility will strengthen maritime surveillance and improve operational response against illegal activities.
