Niger Delta activist, Government Ekpemupolo known as Tompolo, has distanced himself from a social media report claiming he gave the Federal Government a 21-day ultimatum to release IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu. In a statement released by his media consultant, Dr. Paul Bebenimibo, Tompolo clarified that he had no involvement with the issue and described the publication as false and malicious.

According to the statement, the false report was the handiwork of Tompolo’s detractors, allegedly aimed at tarnishing his image due to his firm stance against illegal crude oil operations in the Niger Delta. The statement reaffirmed his commitment to eradicating such illicit activities, emphasizing that those attempting to discredit him would not succeed.
Tompolo further assured the Federal Government of his continued support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration and its renewed agenda. He also reaffirmed his endorsement of the President for a second term while urging the public to disregard the misleading publication. Meanwhile, activist Omoyele Sowore recently led a protest in Abuja for Nnamdi Kanu’s release, as the IPOB leader’s trial was adjourned to October 27 by the Federal High Court in Abuja.
