Senior Pastor of House on the Rock Church, Paul Adefarasin, has voluntarily reported to the Lagos State Police Command after a viral video surfaced online allegedly showing him holding a gun-like object during an encounter with a content creator in Lagos. The incident, which quickly sparked public concern and social media speculation, featured the pastor interacting with a passerby while holding a metallic item, leading many to believe it was a firearm.

In response to the uproar, Pastor Adefarasin took to his social media accounts to clarify the situation, stating that the object was not a firearm and that he never pointed it at anyone. He described the incident as a misunderstanding, expressing his dismay at the misinformation circulating online. Despite his explanation, the public demand for accountability prompted the pastor to cooperate fully with the authorities.

Confirming the development, Lagos State Police spokesperson CSP Benjamin Hundeyin stated via WhatsApp that Pastor Adefarasin is currently being interrogated at the command headquarters in Ikeja. He emphasized that “no one is above the law” and assured the public that a full investigation is underway. The outcome of the inquiry, he added, will be made available once completed.
