The Kano State Government has issued a stern warning to youths involved in communal clashes, particularly in the Kurna Tudun Fulani area of Dala Local Government, following recent violence that resulted in deaths and property damage. Commissioner for Internal Security and Special Services, AVM Ibrahim Umar (Retd), made this known during a visit to the area, prompted by security reports of escalating youth unrest. He emphasized that those found disrupting peace will face legal consequences.

During the visit, Umar condemned the killing of one Abba Sa’idu Mai Hula in a recent clash and highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts to engage unemployed youths through skill acquisition programs aimed at reducing crime and fostering self-reliance. He stressed the importance of community participation in maintaining security and urged residents to report suspicious activities to the authorities.
The ward head, Mal Usaini Ibrahim Tudun Fulani, urged the government to intensify efforts in combating insecurity and proposed converting a local refuse site into a police outpost. This, he argued, would enhance law enforcement presence and effectiveness in the community. The commissioner inspected the site and assured the community that he would recommend the proposal to the appropriate authorities.
