Alma Asinobi Celebrates Taking Nigerian Flag Across Seven Continents in 71 Hours

Nigerian travel content creator Alma Asinobi has made history by carrying the Nigerian flag across all seven continents in 71 hours, 26 minutes, and 25 seconds.

She completed her journey on Sunday when she landed in Sydney, Australia, after traveling through Antarctica, South America, North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.

Celebrating on Instagram, Asinobi wrote:
“Our Nigerian flag is officially the first and fastest flag to visit all 7 continents! I guess my work here is done. I cannot wait to be homeeeee.”

Her journey was filled with challenges, including visa issues, flight delays, and travel restrictions due to her Nigerian passport. At one point, she was denied boarding on a flight to Perth, Australia, forcing her to rebook a later flight to Sydney.

While Asinobi did not break the Guinness World Record (GWR) of 64 hours, set by American veteran Johnny Cruz Buckingham, her journey has sparked global discussions on passport inequality and travel barriers for Nigerians.

She now looks forward to her homecoming event on March 30, where she hopes to set another record by gathering Nigerians to sign the flag she carried across the world.
