Nnamdi Kanu Expresses Doubts About Fair Trial in Abuja Courts

Detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has expressed doubts about receiving a fair judgment from any court in Abuja.

His Lead Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, conveyed this after visiting him at the Department of State Services (DSS) headquarters, where Kanu has been held in solitary confinement since his extraordinary rendition from Kenya in June 2021.

Kanu believes his case is influenced by political interests rather than the rule of law, citing disregard for due process and legal standards.

He urged the public to review court rulings on his case, asserting that his trial is a politically motivated sham. Despite Justice Binta Nyako’s previous recusal, the case was reassigned to her, sparking protests from Kanu’s legal team.
