Werder Bremen’s Justin Njinmah gives condition to consider playing for Nigeria

Justin Njinmah, 23-year-old forward for Werder Bremen, gives condition that would make him consider playing for the Nigerian national team.

In an interview, Njinmah stated that he would only play for Nigeria if he receives an invitation from the national team.

Njinmah, who was born in Hamburg, Germany, has always dreamed of playing for the German national team.

He expressed his disappointment at not being selected for the EURO 2024 squad and hopes to one day represent Germany on the international stage.

However, through his family, Njinmah is also eligible to play for Nigeria. He acknowledged that the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has been monitoring him, but he emphasized that an invitation would be necessary for him to consider representing the Super Eagles.

Njinmah’s focus remains on his club career with Werder Bremen, where he has scored six goals and provided two assists in 25 Bundesliga games.

His performances have attracted interest from Premier League clubs Wolves and Everton, who are weighing up a possible bid for the versatile forward.

While Njinmah’s heart remains set on playing for Germany, the door is open for Nigeria if they extend an invitation. Only time will tell if Njinmah will don the green and white of Nigeria or continue to pursue his dream of representing Germany.
