Nigerian football star Victor Osimhen has shared his thoughts on the personal struggles that come with fame, describing it as restrictive and often frustrating. Speaking in an interview posted on X by Instablog, the Napoli striker revealed how public attention has robbed him of simple life experiences, including quality time with his family. He recalled a painful moment when he missed his daughter’s first outing in Italy because he was too busy taking photos with fans.

Osimhen expressed that fame, despite its glitz, can be emotionally exhausting. He explained that everyday activities, like going out freely, have become difficult due to his celebrity status. According to him, “Fame is boring,” because it limits his ability to do normal things without being swarmed by admirers.
Despite being a global football icon, the 26-year-old emphasized his desire to stay grounded and live a simple life. He spoke passionately about his love for being around ordinary people, staying close to his roots, and maintaining the natural lifestyle he grew up with. For Osimhen, being around his people brings him peace and joy, more than the attention that comes with stardom.
He also acknowledged the strong support system around him, especially the guidance of his elder brother, who has helped him stay focused. Osimhen added that as long as he feels safe with his security team, he doesn’t mind mingling with the public. His remarks painted the picture of a man who, despite global fame, values humility and personal connection over the spotlight.
