According to a report by The New York Times, the U.S. Africa Command has submitted three strategic options light, medium, and heavy responses to the U.S. Department of War plans for potential strikes on Nigeria following claims of violence against Christians.

This development came after President Donald Trump directed the military to prepare for possible action if the Nigerian government does not address the situation. The “heavy option” is said to represent the strongest form of military action the U.S. could take against Nigeria.
