Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), have recorded further operational successes in the ongoing Operation DESERT SANITY, destroying multiple terrorist camps, recovering arms and equipment, and repelling coordinated attacks by the insurgents in the Timbuktu Triangle.

Acco4ding to the Nigerian Army, the discovery followed coordinated, intelligence-led military offensives carried out on Sunday in Chilaria, Garin Faruk and Abirma. According to the Joint Task Force North-East, several terrorist camps were destroyed during the operation, significantly weakening Boko Haram and ISWAP activities in the area.
The operation was supported by the Air Component, which provided surveillance and real-time intelligence to guide ground troops. Soldiers also recovered weapons, ammunition, communication devices, vehicles, and terrorist flags, further disrupting the insurgents’ logistics and command structure.

Despite facing multiple armed drone attacks by the terrorists, the troops successfully repelled the assaults and maintained control of the area. Military authorities say troop morale remains high, security is relatively calm but unpredictable, and operations will continue until lasting peace is restored in the North-East.
