Troops Arrest Two Suspects Over Murder of Catholic Priest

Troops of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) have arrested two suspects linked to the murder of Rev. Fr. Sylvester Okechukwu, a Catholic priest from the Kafanchan Diocese. Okechukwu was abducted from his residence in Tachira, Kaduna State, on March 4 and found dead the next day.

According to OPSH spokesperson Maj. Samson Zhakom, the suspects were captured during a raid in Lere LGA. One of them, a 33-year-old man, confessed to being hired by another individual who lived in the same house as the slain priest. Investigations are ongoing to track down others involved.
