Ten Hag to continue as Man Utd manager after season review

Manchester United have decided to keep Erik ten Hag as their manager.

This comes after the Red Devils’ conclusion of their 2023/24 season review.

It is also understood that negotiations on a contract extension have begun with Ten Hag.

The Dutchman’s current deal ends at the end of next season, with the club having the option of extending it by a further 12 months.

United finished a poor campaign in eighth place, but beat Manchester City 2-1 to win the FA Cup, which was Ten Hag’s second trophy in as many years.

Mauricio Pochettino, Thomas Tuchel, Thomas Frank, Kieran McKenna and Gareth Southgate were all linked with taking over at Old Trafford but the club have now committed to Ten Hag.

One game of brilliant tactical and strategic nous has demonstrated what our future could be like under Eric Ten Hag.

Fergie had his FA Cup career-saving season, so has ETH. The crucial work starts now, in the close season with arrivals and departures.

Give Eric Hag the opportunity to mould the footballing side in his image.
