Senator Ahmed Abdul Ningi has been suspended for three months over an alleged misinformation of budget padding.
The senates also offer to withdraw the suspension if senator Ningi tender an apology the senates.
Recall that Ningi was reported to have made the claim during a BBC Hausa Service interview during the weekend.
Ningi, denied the reports on Monday, saying he was quoted out of context because he spoke in Hausa.
