Romania’s Justice Minister, Radu Marinescu, has called for an investigation into why Andrew and Tristan Tate were allowed to leave the country despite facing charges of human trafficking and forming an organized crime group.
The brothers, dual US-UK citizens, had been under a travel ban for over two years before it was unexpectedly lifted, allowing them to fly to the US.
The decision has raised concerns about political influence, with speculation that US authorities pressured Romanian prosecutors. However, President Biden denied any involvement.
