President Bola Tinubu said, those who choose the path of violence against innocent citizens will find no hiding place and Nigeria will not surrender any part of its territory to criminals.

President Tinubu stated this while commending the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Department of State Services, the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps for the successful operation that led to the killing of notorious bandit leader Ibrahim Bastuji in Kogi State.
Bastuji and several of his fighters were reportedly neutralised while allegedly planning attacks on a school and residents of Iluke Bunu in Kabba/Bund Local Government Area.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described the operation as a major blow to criminal networks operating in the region.
. This success reflects the renewed determination of our security forces to secure every inch of our land.”
The President also praised security forces for rescuing Hajiya Amina Rabe Abubakar, widow of the late former Chief of Defence Information, Major General Rabe Abubakar (retd), from kidnappers in Katsina State. Mrs Abubakar regained her freedom during a military operation by troops of the 17 Brigade in Tunga Village, where soldiers engaged the abductors as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal groups in the area.
Describing the rescue as a testament to the professionalism and courage of security personnel, Tinubu said the safe return of the widow was a source of relief to her family and Nigerians. The safe return of Hajiya Amina Rabe Abubakar is a source of relief to her family and to all Nigerians. We owe a debt of gratitude to our troops who risk their lives daily to keep us safe,” he stated.
