Nigeria Police Bust Major Cybercrime Ring in Abuja, Arrest 130 Suspects Including 113 Foreign Nationals

The Nigeria Police Force has arrested 130 individuals, including 113 foreign nationals (mainly Chinese and Malaysian) and 17 Nigerians, for alleged involvement in cybercrimes and hacking, posing potential national security risks.

The arrests were made during a raid led by Assistant Inspector-General of Police Benneth Igweh at a building in the Next Cash and Carry area of Jahi, Abuja.

The operation involved the Nigeria Police Force Zone 7 Command and the National Cyber Crime Centre. The police are conducting a thorough investigation, analyzing recovered evidence, and plan to charge the suspects in court.
