Police Arrest Two Suspected Kidnappers After Gun Duel in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command, in collaboration with local hunters, has arrested two suspected kidnappers in Ngurore Forest and Gborom Mountain, located in Yola South and Demsa Local Government Areas. Acting on credible intelligence, security operatives stormed the kidnappers’ hideouts, prompting a gun duel as the suspects attempted to resist arrest.

Two suspects, Mohammed and Halilu Mohammed, were captured, while other gang members escaped with alleged bullet wounds.

Recovered exhibits included two AK-47 rifles, 66 rounds of live ammunition, a pump-action rifle, a Dane gun, and charms. The Commissioner of Police praised the operation and reaffirmed the command’s commitment to combating crime.

He urged residents, especially in Yola South and Demsa, to report individuals with suspicious injuries to aid ongoing investigations.
