Tems followed with two nods in the BET Her category for her powerful tracks Burning and Hold On. Other Nigerian talents, Burna Boy, Rema, and Shallipopi, each secured a nomination, with Burna Boy contending for Best Male Hip-Hop Artist, Rema for Best International Act, and Shallipopi for Best New International Act.
On the international scene, Kendrick Lamar dominates with 10 nominations, while Drake, Future, Doechii, and GloRilla each garnered six. The 2025 BET Awards ceremony is scheduled for June 9 at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live on BET.
