The executives of Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) FCT Chapter, led by the Chairman, Dr Ayogu Emeka paid a courtesy visit on the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla on Tuesday 13 May 2025,at Naval Headquarters (NHQ) Abuja.
The Chairman said they were at NHQ to thank the CNS for the excellent services provided by Nigerian Navy (NN) Hospitals nationwide. He noted that NN medical facilities especially the Reference Hospitals were making remarkable progress in the provision of affordable health care and training of Doctors. He also highlighted some areas where the FCT Chapter could collaborate with the NN.
The CNS responded by thanking the Chairman and Exco for the visit. He stated that medical services were essentially humanitarian services and the Nigerian Armed Forces needs effective medical support for all personnel. Hence he appreciated all Nigerian Doctors for their good work and specifically thanked the NMA for its regulations geared towards sustaining the high standards of medical practise. Finally the CNS assured the association that more areas of collaboration will be explored.
