Following the announcement of a nationwide strike by the Nigerian Labour Congress and Trade Union, private businesses in the business district of Abuja were forcefully shut down by by officials of the Labour union .
According to eye witness, the labour union were seen ordering staff to vacate their offices while whose who resisted the order were physically attacked the union.
