A sample collected has been confirmed the presence of the banned substance.
According to reports , “The athlete has been informed of the case and has been provisionally suspended until the resolution of the matter in line with the World Anti-Doping Code and the IOC Anti-Doping Rules applicable to the Olympic Games Paris 2024.”
Cynthia Ogunsemilore and Abdul-Afeez Osoba are the only two boxers representing Nigeria in the Boxing section.
With Cynthia banned, only Abdul-Afeez will be left to participate in the men boxing.
