The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is encouraging the development and adoption of accessible digital platforms, tools and services and intensifying efforts to promote digital inclusion for persons with disabilities, with a focus on ensuring that everyone can access and benefit from digital technologies.

The initiative seeks to address barriers that may prevent persons with disabilities from fully participating in Nigeria’s growing digital economy and accessing communication services.
According to NCC, the initiative can better meet the needs of people living with different forms of disabilities.
The commission’s efforts are part of broader moves to create a more inclusive digital environment in Nigeria, where persons with disabilities can have equal opportunities to connect, communicate, learn and participate in the digital economy.
