Nasarawa State is positioning itself as Nigeria’s pioneer in electric car production, thanks to the recent discovery of vast Lithium deposits and the establishment of multi-million-dollar Lithium factories.

Deputy Governor Dr. Emmanuel Akabe announced this during an event celebrating Governor Abdullahi Sule’s achievements, highlighting the governor’s role in attracting major electric car manufacturers to the state.
Dr. Akabe praised Governor Sule for his integrity and transparency in governance, particularly his practice of publicly disclosing state allocations and seeking stakeholder input on expenditure. The event organizer, Hajiya Hussaina Sule, Governor Sule’s daughter, also commended her father’s leadership, emphasizing his impact on peace and economic progress in the state.
Governor Sule credited the economic growth in Nasarawa to President Bola Tinubu’s transformation agenda and noted that the state’s Lithium wealth has captured international attention. He expressed gratitude to the organizers for uniting people across the state to celebrate the strides made under his administration.
