“My son will play for Super Eagles Not France”

According to reports, the father of George Osrzehmen Ilenikhena, the 17-year-old striker who has taken the Belgian league by storm with 14 goals this season, has revealed that his son will play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria and not France.

In an interview, the father expressed his desire to see his son don the colors of the Nigerian national team, saying, “His desire is to play for Nigeria, and I am keen on making it happen. In the future, I believe it is more about playing for the Super Eagles than France.”

George, who was born in Lagos but raised in France, is eligible to play for both countries. However, his father’s statement suggests that the young striker’s heart belongs to Nigeria.

George’s impressive form for Antwerp in Belgium has attracted interest from top clubs, including Inter Milan, and his international future is highly sought after. But for now, it seems that the Super Eagles are in pole position to secure his services.
