Tech giant Microsoft has announced a $1 million investment over the next two years to enhance AI skills among one million Nigerians, aiming to drive digital transformation and economic growth.
Speaking at the launch of the Microsoft AI Tour in Lagos on Wednesday, Microsoft’s Nigeria Country Manager, Ola Williams, emphasized that the initiative is a strategic effort to equip Nigerians not only with the ability to utilize AI but also to develop advanced AI-powered solutions and businesses that promote long-term economic sustainability.
She highlighted that this program is designed to establish Nigeria as a major player in the global AI landscape by empowering individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary for innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic advancement.
