Manchester City Violates Hearing Set for September 16

English Premier League have scheduled a hearing for Manchester City over their alleged 115 violations of Premier League rules to begin on September 16.

The hearing will be conducted by an independent panel and is expected to last about two months, with a final verdict anticipated by the end of the 2024-25 season.

Premier League charged City with 115 counts of financial misconduct in February 2023, following a five-year investigation.

These charges span a 14-season period starting from 2009-10 and include allegations of failing to provide accurate financial information, breaching profit and sustainability rules, and not complying with UEFA’s Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations.

However, Manchester City has denied all charges, maintaining they have “irrefutable evidence” to support their innocence.

The club previously succeeded in overturning a UEFA competition ban in 2020.

The hearing was initially expected later in the year, but efforts have been made to start the case next month, with September 16 identified as the likely start date unless unforeseen complications arise.
