The Special Adviser to the Jigawa State Governor on Film Censorship, Ishaq Hadejia, has urged the government to conduct drug screenings for political appointees to ensure they are not involved in illegal drug activities.

Hadejia emphasized that such tests would promote accountability, integrity, and good governance while preventing leaders from influencing youths toward drug abuse. He stressed the importance of verifying the character of public officials as the state continues to develop.
He also praised the government’s security efforts and the peaceful Eid celebrations in Hadejia and other parts of the state.
